Qualifications

To start the ADI qualifying process.  You will need to have had a criminal record disclosure obtained through the DSA's Contractor, Capita Recruitment Vetting Service (CRVS).

You must have held a full licence for 4 years (a foreign or automatic licence can count towards the 4 years).

Be able to read a vehicle number plate from a minimum of 27.5 metres (90feet).

Pass the Driving Standards Agency 3 part examination.

If your licence has penalty points (generally a maximum of 4) it is unlikely to affect your application. Penalty points already spent will not count.

You must not have been disqualified during the last 4 years, not even for one day.
